StratEGIC Toolkit: Strategies for Effecting Gender Equity and Institutional Change, March 07, 2014 by Peggy Layne
We are very pleased to share our website, the StratEGIC Toolkit: Strategies for Effecting Gender Equity and Institutional Change (www.strategictoolkit.org), launched at the recent ADVANCE PI meeting. This website is one product from our current PAID research study focused on examining the organizational change strategies and processes used at the universities in the first two rounds of ADVANCE Institutional Transformation grants. The Toolkit highlights 13 of the most frequently used change interventions, offering a Brief on each one that highlights the rationale and purpose of the intervention, various models and examples of how the intervention might be used, and a discussion of the associated affordances and limitations. (We are still adding a few pieces to the website, but are eager to let you know that it is available.)
We hope the Toolkit will be of use to universities that are considering developing ADVANCE projects as well as to those already underway that are seeking ways to enrich their work. We appreciated the enthusiastic support and excellent feedback we received at the PI meeting in response to the launching of the Toolkit, and we welcome more comments and suggestions. Please send any feedback to Sandra Laursen (Sandra.Laursen@Colorado.edu) or Ann Austin (firstname.lastname@example.org).
