This presentation covers advice for how to deal with students who might be in emotional distress.

The Advancement Initiatives Council was formed in March 2009 and will continue to serve as the internal advisory committee for the ADVANCE Rising Tide Center.

The purpose of the Internal Advisory Council is twofold. First, the council shall provide input and feedback to guide the executive director and the ADVANCE team on the planning and execution of the project. Second, as representatives of key departments and constituencies across campus, council members shall bring information and knowhow back to their respective communities in an effort to support the project's goals.

The individuals on the Internal Advisory Committee (IAC) will meet at least three times per year to assist the Leadership Team with issues that arise, hear reports on progress, and help implement programs and policies within their colleges and the University as a whole. The External Advisory Committee is comprised of national experts in research and programs on advancing the careers of women STEM faculty. Alice Gast, President of Lehigh University will chair the committee which aims to meet once a year.
